Shipping & Delivery Information
We provide FREE SHIPPING within the contiguous U.S. Standard shipping is included at no additional charge for qualifying orders delivered within the lower 48 states.
At Capital Shredder, we specialize in delivering everything from deskside units to industrial-grade destruction systems. Because our products vary significantly in size and weight, we offer a range of shipping services tailored to your facility's needs.
1. Contiguous United States
Standard shipping is utilized for most orders within the lower 48 states. Delivery typically occurs within 2-7 business days for in-stock items.
- Standard Ground: Ideal for smaller deskside shredders, oil, and bags. These are typically delivered via UPS or FedEx.
- Freight (LTL): Larger office and industrial shredders ship via motor freight.
- Note: Standard freight delivery is dock-to-dock. If your facility does not have a loading dock, please see specialized services below.
2. Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories
We frequently ship our equipment to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico. Because these locations require ocean or air transit, they fall outside of standard domestic rates.
- Custom Quotes: Shipping rates to these regions are calculated on a per-order basis.
- Freight Forwarders: If you have a preferred freight forwarder based in the contiguous U.S., we can ship your order directly to their port or warehouse for final transit.
- Transit Times: Please allow additional transit time depending on sailing or flight schedules to your region.
3. Specialized Delivery Services
Since many of our shredders exceed 200 lbs, additional services may be required to ensure a safe delivery.
- Liftgate Service: Required if your delivery location does not have a loading dock and the equipment must be lowered to the ground.
- Inside Delivery: Moves the palletized equipment inside the first dry threshold of your building, such as a garage or lobby.
- White-Glove Installation: We offer premium installation services, including uncrating, placement, and removal of packaging materials.
Please contact us directly to receive a quote for specialized delivery services.
4. Government, Military & APO/FPO Shipping
As a leading provider of DoD high-security shredders, we are experienced in government logistics.
- APO/FPO/DPO: Shipments to military addresses are sent via the U.S. Postal Service when allowed by weight limits.
- International Military Installations: For items exceeding weight limits, we can ship to a domestic Port of Embarkation or arrange commercial worldwide carrier service.
5. International Shipping
We ship our shredders worldwide.
- Estimates Only: Shipping costs displayed at checkout for international destinations are estimates.
- Verification Process: After you place an order, a representative will contact you to confirm final shipping arrangements and costs before payment is processed.
6. Important: Inspection & Damage Policy
To protect your investment, please follow these steps upon delivery:
- Inspect the Crate: Before the driver leaves, inspect the external packaging for signs of damage.
- Note Damage on the BOL: If you see damage, note it on the driver's Bill of Lading.
- Report Within 7 Days: Any concealed damage or defects must be reported to Capital Shredder within 7 days of receipt.

Product FAQs
Questions About MX-5C Compactor
Product-specific answers based on this shredder’s description, specifications, and intended use case.
What is the MX-5C compactor designed to do?
The MX-5C is designed as a shredder compactor. The MX-5C is a compactor accessory intended to work as part of a compatible media-destruction workflow, not as a stand-alone shredder. Confirm the exact disintegrator pairing for the installed system before deployment.
How does the MX-5C improve media-destruction waste handling?
Its purpose is to compact the waste stream after destruction so high-volume operations can reduce loose debris and simplify downstream handling. The practical reduction depends on the material being processed and the system configuration.
What should I consider when installing the MX-5C?
Plan the MX-5C as fixed workflow equipment, with enough room for the connected destruction system, operator access, electrical service, and safe waste removal. Installation should follow the requirements of the complete configured system.
How does the MX-5C support secure waste handling?
Compacted waste should be removed according to the facility’s handling and chain-of-custody procedure. The goal is to keep destroyed material contained and easier to move without interrupting the primary destruction process.
Who should choose the MX-5C compactor?
The MX-5C makes the most sense for facilities running enough media through a compatible disintegrator that loose waste becomes a storage, handling, or labor problem. Lower-volume sites may not need a dedicated compaction stage.
