The K-12XP DOD High Security Crosscut Paper Shredder has been evaluated by National Security Agency / Central Security Service and meets the requirements set by the NSA/CSS for the destruction of paper. NSA/CSS performance testing has evaluated the K-12XP ability to reduce paper documents to shards measuring 1 millimeter by 5 millimeter, or less. NSA/CSS testing protocol includes the timed destruction of conventional office copy paper (letter size, 20-lb weight, uncoated) and has classified the K-12XP as High Volume at greater than 10 Reams per Hour.
This Heavy-Duty High Security Paper Shredder is suitable for shredding "Classified" and "Top Secret" documents. Precision designed Carbon Hardened Cutting Knives to allow for higher shred loads with lower power consumption. A full 13” Throat Opening for easier feeding of paper in all directions. The Floating Head Design allows for cutting head rebuilding in the event of damage; an option not available on most shredders that use solid block cutting heads. The K-12XP includes an integrated Internal Automatic Oiling System to lubricate cutting knives for maximum shredding capacities. A 24-Hour Continuous Duty Motor, Heavy Duty Chain Drive and Steel Gears. No internal nylon or plastic gears as is common on many shredders. “ENERGY SMART” power saving technology puts the shredder into a power saving stand-by mode after just 8 seconds and switches off automatically after 4 hours of non-operation. A Touch Screen Operations Panel includes indicators for Bag Full and Door Open and an Electronic Power Control system monitor and displays the shredding load to maximize shredding capacity. - Freight (LTL): Larger office and industrial shredders ship via motor freight.
- Note: Standard freight delivery is dock-to-dock. If your facility does not have a loading dock, please see specialized services below.
2. Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories
We frequently ship our equipment to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico. Because these locations require ocean or air transit, they fall outside of standard domestic rates.
- Custom Quotes: Shipping rates to these regions are calculated on a per-order basis.
- Freight Forwarders: If you have a preferred freight forwarder based in the contiguous U.S., we can ship your order directly to their port or warehouse for final transit.

- Liftgate Service: Required if your delivery location does not have a loading dock and the equipment must be lowered to the ground.

6. Important: Inspection & Damage Policy

- Report Within 7 Days: Any concealed damage or defects must be reported to Capital Shredder within 7 days of receipt.
